Kitchens I love

The kitchen has a way of being the heart of the home, no matter how hard you work to create other cozy living areas. It is here that the family gathers for meals, to share their stories of the day and sneak a snack or two. I gave up trying to make my kitchen a "designer" space. Instead I filled it with the things that make our family who we are. I still use  my great grandma's cutting board, and proudly display my grandmother's collection of "Little Cheesers". Oddly enough, it has turned out to be the one room I love being in the most. That being said, I still like to sneak in a few "couture" touches when I can.  Here are a few of my favorite ideas that can be added without taking away from the family feel of your kitchen.

This is one of the neatest kitchen islands I have ever seen!
